Microblading is a semi-permanent brow tattoo performed with a small handheld tool, using a feather stroke technique to produce the appearance of fuller eyebrows or to enhance the natural features of the face. Microblading is a softer/more subtle cosmetic tattoo than some of older methods. Body tattoos use ink while cosmetic tattoo procedures involve pigments. These pigments are designed to fade over time gently. Fading is desired as it allows the artist to make changes to color and shape over the years as client’s natural coloration and facial changes occur.
Combination technique uses both the super-fine pen to manually create "little brow hairs" and a special machine to add shading to your brows for more density. It still creates a natural brow appearance but fuller and well-defined.
All new semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing appointments will require a $100 deposit that will come off the total price on the day. Deposits will not be refunded for cancellations with less than 24 business hours notice. For any cosmetic tattoo cancellations outside this period, we will fully refund your deposit. For more information please refer to TERMS & CONDITIONS.
It is not the same as body tattooing. The main difference between a traditional body tattoo and a cosmetic tattoo is the type of equipment used and the depth of the pigment implanted. Unlike body tattooing, you do not bleed during the procedure.
Prior to treatment, we spend roughly 20 minutes on the design of your tailored brows to give you the most natural and appropriate shape and color to suit your specific facial features, natural brow line, skin tone, and hair color. You may like to bring along your own makeup pencil or lipstick and a color match can be made from this.
We will check the brow color three times during the procedure before finalizing it, each time you sit up to see your brows color and can suggest to go lighter or darker before the final row.ers into loyal ones.
No, not really. On a scale of 1-10, most clients report a discomfort of a 3. If you are an eligible candidate without any medical conditions, adverse reaction or allergy, then a topical anesthetic will be applied during our cosmetic tattooing procedure, however small amounts of discomfort is expected.
Initial appointment: 3 hours including the consultation and numbing time (It might take longer in some cases).
• Perfecting touch up within 6-8 weeks: 2-3 hours
• Annual Re-touch: 3 hrs.
Semi Permanent Makeup can last a couple of years to several years. This varies from person to person, depending on your skin type, diet, sun exposure, genetics and environmental factors which can all contribute to how long the pigments will be retained.
As a guide, it could be anything between one to five years before a new treatment is required, although refresher color boosts are recommended for maintenance during this time.
We recommend a color boost to be taken every 12-18 months to keep enhancements looking fresh. Should you choose not to have a yearly color boost your enhancement will fade over a period of approximately 2-3 years. It is important to remember that permanent make-up is a “low”, not a “no” maintenance treatment
We recommend you to book your botox appointment at least 4-6 weeks before your initial brow tattooing appointment. This aids with symmetry and skin firmness.
1. Leave waxing/tinting 48 hours leading up to your appointment.
2. Discontinue active skincare 1-2 weeks before treatment (e.g. Vitamin A, chemical peels, prescribed skin care etc.)
3. Inform us before your treatment of any medical conditions or severe allergies that may interfere with treatment.
4. Do not take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E or Ibuprofen 48-72 hours prior to the procedure (do not cease regular medications unless talking to your GP).
5. On the day of your appointment make sure you have eaten sensibly and are well hydrated.
6. No alcohol on the day of your procedure.
7. Please arrive on your appointment how you would normally pencil/powder your eyebrows.
8. You can bring your own prescribed numbing cream with your name and date written on it on the day of your appointment.
1. Immediately after treatment, the color will appear darker than your chosen shade. This is because the pigment takes around seven days to enter the deeper layers of the skin.
2. After 7-10 days, exfoliation takes place. The top layer of the skin peels off, leaving a softer, lighter color below. The result is a natural-looking enhancement. As the treated area is settling down, itching may occur. This is a good sign as it means the skin is healing. Apply the recommended cream to the treated area as recommended
3. Swelling and redness is minimal and usually subsides within 24 hours.
4. The skin takes 4-8 weeks to heal at a cellular level and for the true pigment color to settle.
5. Do not scratch the area.
6. This will NOT prevent working or socializing.
Unfortunately, our salon is not child friendly and due to Occupational Health & Safety, only the Artist, the Artist’s Assistant, and the client can be in the room during the procedure at all the times.
